This 37 hectare English Vineyard is one of the oldest and largest English Wine Producers in the country and was first established in Essex by the Greenwood family in the village of Purleigh in 1969.  The vines grown at New Hall have been planted between 12m to 24m above sea level on the well-sheltered southern facing slopes of a shallow valley.  Over the years this has proven itself to be an almost ideal climatic site for the growing of vines in England and regularly produces above-average crops of high quality grapes with naturally high sugars, normally in excess of 250,000 bottles each year.  Since 1977 our wines have won over 77 international awards, 35 of which have been gold or silver.

  • New Hall Vineyards is open daily from 10am for visitors FREE OF CHARGE to taste some of the award winning wines and walk along the Vineyard Trail.

  • Special Guided Tours can be booked during the summer for groups of 16 or more

  • Buy our large variety of still white, light red and traditional sparkling wines from our cellar/shop
